Inbox triage

Read incoming mail, work out what actually needs you, and flag only that.

We have not yet run this one on the version the starting point pins, so the deploy button below starts a blank instance. We are not going to offer you a one-click workflow we have not tested ourselves.

Every new message is classified, most of them are filed, and the few that need a person are flagged or forwarded. Start with plain rules, add an AI classification step once you trust it. This is the workflow people keep running two years later.

What it does

  1. A mail trigger fires on new messages.
  2. A classification step sorts them.
  3. Routine mail is filed or archived.
  4. Anything that needs you is flagged or forwarded.

What you supply

  • Access to the mailbox you want sorted

Credentials are stored inside your own n8n, encrypted with a key that is generated and kept for you. We never see them and neither does anyone else.

Getting it running

Other starting points

  • Blank canvas, an empty n8n, ready for whatever you already had in mind.
  • Daily digest into chat, collect a few things every morning and post one tidy message to slack or telegram.
  • Feed watcher, watch a feed and tell you when something new shows up, without checking it yourself.
  • Form submissions into a table, catch a form submission and append it to a spreadsheet or a table you already use.
